Photos taken of the 65th Division training at Camp Shelby, MS in 1945 in preparation for the "big push" into Germany.
Sergeant Alvin Shipman, and 15000 other soldiers depart Camp Shelby, MS on November 5th, 1944 and head for the final showdown with  Hitler and his Nazi Army.
July, 1944.  Soldiers of the 65th Division get ready for the final push into Germany. NOTE:  The artillery piece shown in the lower left hand corner is an M-1 .57mm cannon that Alvin Shipman fought with in Austria and Germany.
